Privacy policy.

We collect what we need to run the website, respond to inquiries, and measure marketing. We do not sell your data. The full disclosure is below. Short, specific, and actually reflective of what runs on this site.

Who we are.

Digital1010 LLC is a Florida limited liability company headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, operating as a marketing agency. This privacy policy applies to digital1010.com and any subdomain we operate (collectively, the “Site”). Commercial engagements are governed by a separately-signed Master Services Agreement (MSA), Statement of Work (SOW), and where applicable our Data Processing Agreement; this policy covers the Site itself and the data we collect through it.

For privacy questions, requests, or concerns, email support@digital1010.com with a clear subject line describing the request (e.g. “CCPA Access Request”).

What we collect.

Information you give us directly

  • Contact form, scan, and lead-magnet submissions. Name, email, phone (optional), company, and the message you provide. The scan form additionally collects a domain you want analyzed and a vertical (industry) selection.
  • Email correspondence when you reach out to us directly.

Information collected automatically

  • Standard server logs. IP address, browser, OS, pages visited, referrer, timestamps. Used for security and performance monitoring. Retained 30 days unless investigating an incident.
  • Cookies and similar storage. See “Cookies and tracking” below.
  • Marketing attribution. When you arrive from a campaign URL, we record the UTM parameters, click identifiers (gclid, fbclid, msclkid, li_fat_id), the landing page, and the referring URL in your browser's local storage. These travel with any form submission so we can credit the campaign that drove your visit. They do not leave your browser unless you submit a form.

How we use it.

  • To respond to your inquiry or scan request.
  • To deliver requested resources (playbooks, checklists).
  • To measure which content, channels, and campaigns drive real business outcomes: at the aggregate and the individual conversion level.
  • To send you follow-up communications you opted into. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by emailing support@digital1010.com.
  • To detect, prevent, and respond to abuse or security events.
  • To comply with applicable law.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third-party advertisers for retargeting beyond the analytics tools listed below.

Tools and services we use.

Honest disclosure of every third-party service that touches your data on this site:

Google Tag Manager + Google Analytics 4
Site analytics and conversion measurement. Property G-5LKQQF0Z81. We have IP anonymization on and do not enable advertising features that would create cross-site identifiers. Privacy policy.
Microsoft Clarity
Anonymous session recordings and heatmaps to understand UX issues. Recordings are aggregated, never tied to your name or email, and only available to Digital1010 staff. You can opt out site-wide in your browser settings. Privacy policy.
GoHighLevel (Lead Connector)
Customer relationship management. Form submissions are routed to GHL where we store contact information and conversation history. Privacy policy.
Sanity
Editorial content management for our blog, case studies, and service pages. Sanity does not see visitor data; it stores content we publish to the Site. Privacy policy.
Resend
Transactional email delivery for receipts, lead-magnet downloads, and reply-to messages. Privacy policy.
DigitalOcean + Cloudflare
Hosting and CDN. Standard server-log access only; no analytics overlay. Privacy policy.
Anthropic, OpenAI, Perplexity, Google AI
When you submit an AEO Visibility Scan, your domain is queried against these LLM APIs to generate the visibility report. Your domain is the only data sent. None of your contact details are passed to these providers. Privacy policy.

Cookies and tracking.

We set cookies for three purposes:

  • Strictly necessary. Form-submission state, preview-mode tokens for editorial review. Cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
  • Analytics. Set by Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, and Microsoft Clarity. Used to count unique visitors and improve content.
  • Marketing attribution. Stored in your browser's local storage so we can credit the campaign that drove your visit when you fill out a form.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may break form submissions and analytics on the Site but will not prevent you from reading the content.

We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal where supported. We do not currently respond to the older “Do Not Track” header because it has been effectively deprecated by browser vendors.

Your rights.

Depending on where you live, you have the following rights with respect to information we hold about you:

  • Access. Request a copy of the personal information we have about you.
  • Correction. Ask us to correct inaccuracies.
  • Deletion. Ask us to delete your information, subject to limited legal retention requirements.
  • Opt-out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share your information for cross-context behavioral advertising. This right is built in by default.
  • Non-discrimination. We will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a lower-quality experience if you exercise any of these rights.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA): the categories of personal information we collect, the purposes of collection, and the third parties we share with are listed above. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information. California residents may submit verifiable rights requests by emailing support@digital1010.com with the subject line “CCPA Request.”

EU / UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR): the legal basis for our processing is your consent (for analytics + email) or our legitimate interest in operating the Site (for security and necessary cookies). You may withdraw consent at any time and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, email support@digital1010.com with the subject line “GDPR Request.”

We will respond to verified rights requests within the timeframe required by applicable law (45 days under CCPA; 30 days under GDPR), and we will not charge you for exercising them.

Data retention.

We keep different data for different periods:

  • Form submissions and CRM contact records: kept in GoHighLevel for the duration of a working relationship plus three years, then deleted unless we have a legal obligation to retain longer.
  • Email correspondence: retained per business necessity, generally up to seven years.
  • Server logs: 30 days unless investigating an incident.
  • Analytics data (GA4, Clarity): 14 months in GA4 (default retention), 90 days for Clarity recordings.

Security.

We protect data in transit with HTTPS (TLS 1.2+). Forms post over HTTPS only. Server-side secrets are encrypted at rest in the hosting provider's vault and never exposed to the browser. CRM access requires multi-factor authentication for every staff account. Form submissions are rate-limited per IP, and we apply Cloudflare-edge bot mitigation, content-security-policy headers, strict transport security, and anti-clickjacking headers as defense-in-depth.

If we determine that a security event compromises personal information, we will notify affected individuals and the applicable Florida agencies in accordance with the Florida Information Protection Act (F.S. § 501.171), and any other jurisdictions whose breach-notification laws apply, within the timeframes those statutes require. If you maintain an active client engagement with us, we will additionally notify you under the terms of our Data Processing Agreement.

Children's privacy.

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact support@digital1010.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy.

We update this policy when our practices change or applicable law requires it. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be disclosed prominently at the top of this page for at least 30 days. Your continued use of the Site after a change indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
