What we won't do

In Strategy, we'd rather turn it down than fake it.

The shape of what we'll take is also the shape of what we won't. We've lost engagements over each of these. We're fine with that. Strategy work that doesn't survive the first month was never strategy.

We won't write a roadmap without access to your data.

No GSC, no GA4, no ad-account read access, no engagement. A roadmap built on stakeholder interviews and competitor screenshots is a wish list. We need the numbers before we write a sentence.

We won't sequence by what's easy.

If a quick win is upstream-blocked, the dependency ships first. Compass blocks any downstream initiative from sequencing before its prerequisite, even if it'd make the gantt chart look prettier. Quick wins are real, but they're real after the foundations.

We won't ship a strategy without a kill list.

Every roadmap ends with a "stop doing this" section. If a campaign, page, or vendor hasn't earned its place, it doesn't survive the cut. Restraint is encoded in the deliverable. The "avoid quadrant" of the matrix isn't decorative.

We won't put a junior on the seat.

The senior who scoped you in week one is the senior who writes the monthly report in month twelve. No rotating account managers, no offshore handoffs, no "your strategist is on PTO so here's a deck-template stand-in." The seat is named on day one.
