An MSP that was invisible to the questions buyers were actually asking
When a small business in Bozeman needs a new IT partner, they don't open Google first anymore. They open ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity and ask the same questions a fractional CTO would ask: who handles HIPAA in Idaho, what does an MSP for a 25-person law firm cost, who actually answers the pager at 2 a.m. in eastern Washington.
Univision Computers is a 40-employee managed services provider serving small and mid-market clients across Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Florida. They have the operators, the runbooks, and the response times. In January 2026 they did not have visibility on any of those questions. Domain rating sat at 6. The site was on a Vertical Axion stack with WordPress Editor access only. The GTM container was never wired to GA4, so conversion tracking was effectively dark. Location pages were thin and did not carry the entity signals AI Overviews can cite when a buyer asks the question.
We took on a Foundation-tier SEO and AEO engagement with a six-month goal: move domain rating from 6 to the 15-20 range and lift AEO visibility across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AIO on the local MSP queries Univision's actual buyers are typing.
What we found
The site was inheriting a Vertical Axion stack with WordPress Editor access only and a GTM container that had never been wired to a GA4 configuration tag. Conversion tracking was effectively dark. The location pages were thin and didn't carry the local entity signals that AI Overviews can cite. DeLand FL specifically had aggressive growth targets but no architecture to support them.
What we shipped
We rebuilt the measurement spine first: GA4 wired through GTM, conversion events on quote requests and call clicks, and Orbit instrumentation across the four AI platforms. With visibility flowing, we ran the four-tier content model: pillar pages on managed IT, hub pages on service tiers, location pages with real local signals, and answer-engine pages targeting the questions our AEO scans showed buyers asking inside ChatGPT and Claude.
Weekly narrative reporting closed each cycle: what moved, what didn't, what we shipped next, written by the same senior every week.
Month four
AEO visibility lifted +50.6% against the January baseline across the four AI platforms tracked in Orbit. Three queries broke into the top 10 organic on local MSP searches in the priority markets. Domain authority is on the trajectory toward the six-month DR 15-20 goal.
DeLand FL acceleration is the next phase, with location-specific content and entity work scheduled for the May–June cycle.
